RMT Vancouver: Sue Hartling B.Sc. Registered Massage Therapist
Sue Hartling is a Vancouver Registered Massage Therapist graduated with honors from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s 3000 hour Massage Therapy program. She is the recipient of the Massage Therapists Association of BC 2008 scholarship. With interest in health from an early age, she began her educational pursuits by completing her bachelor of science in biology at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. Prior to Massage Therapy, Sue’s interests lead her to study Jin Shin acupressure. Sue draws on skills from her background in supporting individuals with disabilities and injuries.
Sue has had success in treating conditions such as back pain, headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, sprains, arthritis, TMJ dysfunction, sports injuries and more.
Sue’s treatment approach is influenced by a blend of an Eastern and holistic perspective of health with her science background and massage therapy training. Sue employs her knowledge of hatha yoga in providing clients specific stretching and strengthening routines.
With a focus on promoting postural balance for optimal function Sue may use a variety of techniques including Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Treatment, Trigger Point Release, PNF, Muscle Energy Technique, Joint Mobilization, Soft Tissue Manipulation and Craniosacral Therapy.
